But beyond the arc lights and scripted dialogues lies a personality that is even more compelling. When we had the opportunity to interact with Kunal a few years ago, what stood out instantly was his unwavering positivity—an energy that felt both rare and refreshing in an industry often defined by constant pressure. There’s a quiet confidence about him, paired with a grounded warmth that makes him not just admirable, but deeply inspiring. His demeanor reflects someone who is not just chasing success, but truly evolving with every experience life offers.
Kunal Jaisingh’s foray into writing isn’t just another celebrity milestone—it’s a reflection of a man who is constantly striving to understand himself and inspire others to do the same. And if his journey so far is anything to go by, this is only the beginning of a much deeper, more impactful story.
The Interview
What was the exact moment that pushed you to finally write this book?
There wasn’t one dramatic moment — it was a build-up. Years of conversations, both with myself and with people around me. I kept seeing the same pattern: people feeling stuck, not because they lacked ability, but because they believed they weren’t enough. At some point, I realised I had lived that exact story. Writing this book became less about “wanting to be an author” and more about feeling a responsibility to share what I had learned—honestly, without filters.
Did your experience as an actor influence the way you told your story?
Absolutely. Acting teaches you to be truthful in front of people, even when you're playing someone else. It trains you to feel deeply, observe human behaviour, and understand emotion without judgement. That definitely shaped how I wrote this book. I didn’t want it to sound like advice—I wanted it to feel like a real conversation. Something raw, something lived.

Was there a personal breaking point that shaped this story?
Yes. Losing my mother was that point. She was my bridge to the world, and when she was gone, I had to face life without that safety net. It forced me to grow up emotionally, to find my own voice, and to take responsibility for my life in a way I never had before. That phase changed me completely—it stripped away excuses.
How different was it to express yourself through writing versus acting?
Very different. Acting allows you to hide behind a character. Writing doesn’t. Writing is exposing—you’re not performing, you’re revealing. There’s no “cut” or retake. Every word stays. And that’s what made it both uncomfortable and liberating. I had to be honest in a way I’ve never had to be before.
What do you hope readers feel after reading your book?
I don’t want readers to feel impressed—I want them to feel seen. If someone closes the book and feels, “I’m not alone in this… and maybe I can change my life,” that’s enough for me. Even one small shift in how they see themselves—that’s the real success of this book.
