Make full use of split screen
multitasking to boost your productivity. The Split View that iOS 27 brings to
the Duo is the core value that separates this device from a regular iPhone, so
pair Mail with Calendar or your browser with Notes, and enter work mode the
moment you unfold rather than using it like just another big phone.
If you use a third party case, remember to enable the Shift Left Edge display setting. This hidden feature roughly doubles the width of the left bezel on the outer screen, ensuring that iOS back swipe gestures remain smooth and accurate even when a case slightly encroaches on the screen edge.
Use the outer display for quick, lightweight tasks. The 5.4 inch cover screen is more than enough for replying to messages, checking notifications, or grabbing a quick shot, so you do not need to unfold the device for every small task, which saves battery and reduces wear on the hinge.
Combine Touch ID with Apple Watch
unlock. The Duo has no Face ID, but the side mounted Touch ID works in both
forms, and pairing it with Apple Watch unlock delivers a nearly seamless
authentication experience, especially when you are wearing a mask or your hands
are wet.
Take advantage of the nano-texture inner screen for writing. The nano-texture coating on the inner display not only cuts glare but also provides a paper-like writing feel, so with Apple Pencil support, taking notes and annotating documents on the Duo feels noticeably better than on standard glass.
