Don't miss the PIND da SWAAD At The Westin Mumbai Garden City

Food festivals have always enticed us to crush our diets and go on a cheat day. Well, we don’t venture into any food festival unless it offers us something uniquely sensational and hits hard on our Indian food heritage sojourns.

Our foodie escapades with The Westin Mumbai Garden City have always left lip-smacking, luscious and zestful memories. Their recent launch, ‘Pind Da Swaad’ Punjabi Food Festival which has been curated by renowned Chef Sweety Singh and Chef Amandeep Singh is a tornado of rustic, authentic and exotic flavours which we would relish for a lifetime. Exploring some lost recipes from rural Punjab to feasting  on the iconic ones is what makes this menu fascinating.

Our dear friend Vikas Singh, Executive Chef assured us that, “this food fiesta is a unique opportunity for food enthusiasts to immerse themselves in the rich culinary heritage of Punjab while enjoying the luxurious ambiance and impeccable service that define our hotel." Chef Sweety Singh came across as the most humble Chef whose accolades on his foray on the flavour front have  interesting anecdotes to his success stream. Chef Amandeep Singh enthralled us with juicy, culinary tidbits which were wisdom nuggets for us.

Chef Sweety Singh is renowned for his mastery of Punjabi cuisine. "I am thrilled to collaborate with The Westin Mumbai Garden City and showcase the diverse flavors and culinary traditions of Punjab. Guests can expect an authentic Punjabi experience, with each dish reflecting the richness and vibrancy of our heritage." He wholeheartedly kept feeding us with small tasting portions which included his magical touch and we were zapped. The spice tingle was mesmerizing, the gravy had the richness without being too heavy, our taste buds tingled to glory and forced us to have another spoonful of our tasting spoon.

It is Chef’s like Sweety Singh and Amandeep Singh who unearth the hidden spice elements from their roots and add the zing to the iconic dishes. Amandeep shared some interesting personal episodes (about cooking) that he has learnt and mastered from his grandmother and mother. The magic surely shimmered in the dishes that were plated out for us.

The venue at #SeasonalTaste was a packed house which speaks volumes of the connoisseurs who don’t miss such special menus at The Westin Mumbai. The ambience sets the Punjabi mood perfectly from the moment you step out of the elevator. The service is impeccable with well-trained staff with smiling faces.

On the food, flavor and texture front, WHAT’S HOT IN MUMBAI was thoroughly impressed with the scintillating, aromatic finesse which every dish emanated. Our tasting sessions were heavenly, with rustic spice flavors oozing and titillating our taste buds. The cherry on the cake is that the food is magically homely, delectably spiced with flavors that you would reminisce for months to come. THIS FOOD FESTIVAL SURELY IS A PERFECT 10!

Do block your tables in advance, the feast ends on 25th June 2023. You have the option for the buffet spread at #SeasonalTaste or a fine dining experience at #Kangan
